These terms and conditions explain the rules for using our website and booking travel services with Yankee Travel and Tours. By using our website, making an enquiry, confirming a booking or making payment, you agree to the terms stated below.

1. Definitions

In these terms, “Client”, “You” and “Your” refer to the person using this website, making an enquiry or booking our services.

“Company”, “We”, “Our” and “Us” refer to Yankee Travel and Tours.

2. Services Provided

Yankee Travel and Tours provides travel-related services including tours, activities, transfers, accommodation assistance, safari arrangements, travel packages and related booking support.

Some services may be provided directly by Yankee Travel and Tours while others may be provided by third-party suppliers such as hotels, activity operators, transport providers, park authorities and other travel service providers.

3. Booking and Confirmation

  • To make a booking, you must provide accurate and complete information as requested by Yankee Travel and Tours.
  • By submitting a booking request, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Yankee Travel and Tours.
  • A booking is only confirmed once Yankee Travel and Tours has issued written confirmation and the required payment has been received.
  • We reserve the right to decline any booking request at our discretion.
  • The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all travellers included in the booking understand and accept these terms.

4. Payments and Pricing

  • Payment for bookings can be made through the available payment methods provided by Yankee Travel and Tours.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Prices may be quoted in USD, ZMW or another agreed currency.
  • Bank charges, card charges, exchange rate differences and third-party payment fees are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices, availability and inclusions may change without prior notice until a booking has been confirmed.
  • Any additional services requested after confirmation may attract additional charges.

5. Cancellations, Refunds and No-Shows

  • Cancellation requests must be made in writing by email or another official communication channel accepted by Yankee Travel and Tours.
  • A cancellation will be effective from the date we receive your written request.
  • Cancellation charges may vary depending on the service booked.
  • Some activities, park fees, accommodation bookings, permits and third-party supplier services may be non-refundable once confirmed.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the service date may be non-refundable.
  • If you fail to arrive at the agreed pickup point or activity location at the confirmed time, this may be treated as a no-show.
  • No-shows may be charged in full and refunds may not be available.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within a reasonable timeframe using the original payment method where possible.
  • Any bank charges, card charges or third-party payment processing fees may be deducted from the refund amount.

6. Changes, Delays and Amendments

  • We reserve the right to make changes to tours, transfers, packages, prices, routes, itineraries and availability where necessary.
  • Changes may be caused by weather conditions, road conditions, river levels, supplier changes, operational requirements, safety concerns or circumstances beyond our control.
  • If a significant change affects your confirmed booking, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.
  • Where possible, we may offer an alternative option. If the alternative is not suitable, refund conditions will depend on the terms of the specific service booked.
  • Clients are responsible for being ready at the confirmed pickup time. Delays caused by the client may reduce tour time or result in missed services.

7. Travel Documents and Cross-Border Requirements

  • It is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid passports, visas, permits, vaccination documents and any other travel documents required for your journey.
  • For cross-border travel, you are responsible for meeting immigration and entry requirements for each country you visit.
  • Yankee Travel and Tours is not responsible for denied entry, border delays, visa issues, missed activities or additional costs caused by incomplete or invalid travel documents.
  • Border crossing times may vary and delays may occur due to immigration procedures, customs checks, road conditions or government requirements.

8. Health, Safety and Travel Insurance

  • Some tours and activities may involve physical movement, outdoor conditions, wildlife areas, boats, vehicles or adventure activities.
  • Clients must inform Yankee Travel and Tours of any medical conditions, mobility limitations, dietary requirements or special needs before booking.
  • We strongly recommend that all travellers have suitable travel insurance covering medical expenses, cancellations, delays, lost property and personal accidents.
  • Clients must follow all safety instructions provided by guides, drivers, activity operators and authorised personnel.
  • Yankee Travel and Tours may refuse participation in an activity if a client’s condition or conduct presents a safety risk to the client, staff, suppliers or other guests.

9. Client Responsibility

  • Clients are responsible for providing accurate personal, travel and contact information.
  • Clients are responsible for checking booking details, dates, times, pickup points and service inclusions before confirming.
  • Clients are responsible for their personal belongings, luggage, travel documents, electronic devices and valuables during tours, transfers and activities.
  • Clients must behave respectfully toward guides, drivers, staff, suppliers, local communities and other guests.
  • Yankee Travel and Tours reserves the right to refuse service where a client behaves in a way that is abusive, unsafe, unlawful or disruptive.

10. Third-Party Suppliers

  • Some services may be operated by third-party suppliers including accommodation providers, activity operators, transport providers, restaurants, park authorities and border service providers.
  • Third-party suppliers may have their own terms, safety rules, cancellation conditions and refund policies.
  • Yankee Travel and Tours will assist where possible but cannot be responsible for changes, delays, cancellations or decisions made by third-party suppliers outside our control.

11. Liability

  • We aim to provide accurate information and reliable services. However, we do not guarantee that all website information will always be free from errors or changes.
  • Yankee Travel and Tours shall not be liable for loss, injury, delay, damage, additional expense or inconvenience caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
  • Such events may include weather conditions, border delays, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, supplier changes, government actions, park authority decisions, natural events or other circumstances beyond our control.
  • Where services are provided by third-party suppliers, their own terms and conditions may also apply.
  • Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude liability where such exclusion is not permitted by applicable law.

12. Website Information and Use

  • Tour descriptions, prices, availability, travel times and images on the website are provided for general guidance and may change without prior notice.
  • You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only.
  • You may not use this website in a way that may damage the website, interfere with its operation or affect other users.
  • We may update, change or remove website content at any time without prior notice.

13. Intellectual Property
